If you’d like to schedule an introductory lesson, the lesson will be a private lesson where we can evaluate your current level and skill set. Lessons must be paid for upon booking by Venmo or Paypal to Nicole. For any students that wish to get on the weekly schedule, lessons will be paid for monthly by the 1st of the month and need to be paid for ahead of time by cash, check, Venmo or Paypal. Please inquire to ask about our availability for weekly lessons. We highly recommend getting a permanent weekly time slot after your evaluation lesson to ensure we have the space for you to continue!

For your first-time lesson: please wear long pants (preferable soft material like leggings) and close-toed shoes preferably with a 1/2 inch heel. It is highly recommended to get a properly fitted and adjusted riding helmet. If you can’t get a riding helmet, please bring a bike helmet to the first lesson. Proper horseback riding gear is required once on the weekly schedule. In summer months, please bring water with you. In winter, wear lots of layers that are easily removed if you get hot. Thin gloves are recommended. You are also welcome to bring some carrots or an apple for your pony for after the ride! Our recommended places to buy horse gear are Saddlery Liquidators in Haymarket and Dover Saddlery in Chantilly.
